the wind I can’t see
but I can feel it
it is there, I am sure
caressing my face
almost a kiss
enveloping my whole being
a warm embrace
making me feel alive
glow, delight, smile

that there would be more opportunities
years and years of seeing you grow up

If only I could leap back through time.

Today would have been my nephew Michael’s first birthday.

Sigh. Time flies by so fast.

Happy birthday, kid. Watch over us, will ya?

You should be blowing your first birthday candle later today.
With everyone around.
With your first birthday gift.
Everyone laughing and smiling, enjoying your first year with us.
That would’ve been great…
