I wake up to a beautiful morning
With the sunshine on my face
It peeks through my windowpane
As the cool breeze sings and plays.
I see tiny shadows dancing
Like silhouettes of puppets in a show
They make me gay with happy smiles
As they naughtily come and go
I smell the newly sprung flowers
With freshness that soothes my being
Their fragrance lingers in the air
As the pretty butterfly comes a-kissing.
I twist and toss and turn
But my heart is light and gay
Because I know love waits for me
Ah beautiful morning…beautiful day!
